Headsup Analytics was born out of the fast-moving world of electronic trading at BTIG (now part of U.S. Bank), where founders Anthony, Martin, and Henri built high-performance AI and machine learning–driven trading systems.

With a passion for sophisticated high performance trading solutions, Anthony is an industry veteran with 27 years of experience covering everything from developing AI-driven and Machine Learning equity trading platforms, to leading BTIG’s Electronic and Algorithmic Trading Desk, now US Bank.

Anthony is an oceanic sailor having sailed his young family 13,000km from San Francisco, USA to Auckland, New Zealand, where his aptitude for resilience enabled them to brave storms and overcome equipment failures while crossing the Pacific Ocean.



Martin Kosina, Co-Founder, Director Of Engineering

Martin's career spans 26 years, during which he has served as a leader, designer, and practitioner of high-performance trading technology. He has an intimate understanding of what works and what does not, with innate knowledge of the critical metrics and methodologies required for successful solutions.

Throughout his career, he has designed, developed, and deployed leading-edge protocol optimization technology, high-speed stock market data processing systems, and autonomous AI-driven equity trading algorithms and market-making solutions. He has worked for and with prominent companies, including Intel Corporation, Goldman Sachs, Yahoo Finance, and BTIG (now US Bank).

Martin's passion for managing mission critical systems is also represented in his passion for flying, he is a qualified commercial pilot
